From Basel to Rome

Some of our readers may be interested to hear from Fr Ray Blake that Bishop Kurt Koch of Basel, Switzerland is on the move to head up the Pontifical Council for Christian Unity, replacing Cardinal Kasper. One wonders if his staff go with him?

Is this funny?

Today are carrying the singing rodent who is singing 'Jingle Bells' though it sounds remarkably like 'Paedophile'. If you didn't hear the broadcast, you can listen here. John Humphrys says it's all in the listeners mind. What do you think? If you prefer some improved quality of reporting of the incident, you can read what the Sun has to say on the issue here.

Every now and again something comes along to tickle your day, and this is it for this Monday! I subscribe to the blog LOL Saints, and you do get a good laugh from it. Why don't you go and have a look at some of their hilarious back catalogue? You wont be disappointed.

In line with the last two posts, here's another in my triptych of saints.

Today, via the Curt Jester blog, I came across a newish website dedicated to saintly humour. As the site says:

LOLSaints was created in early 2009 by Jeff Geerling in response to a Twitter posting by CurtJester.

It's aim is:

Every day, we'll be posting a new saint, along with a quick and easy-to-digest bio of that saint. (This site is obviously indebted to I Can Haz Cheeseburger?, a site which rose to Internet stardom quite a while ago due to their very funny LOLcats pictures.)

So, if you want to have a laugh, then join in and maybe even offer a posting of your own.
