Fr Clarke, our previous Parish Priest, celebrated a Mass of Thanksgiving for fifty years of the Priesthood last evening. It was a wonderful occasion. You could feel the love as Elton John may have sung!
Since arriving at the parish I have heard much of the quality of Fr Clarke's homilies. In so many ways it was a privilege to hear him preach yesterday. Fortunately, with our modern technology, we have already been able to post an audio of the Mass on the parish website, which you can listen to here. Click on the audio link and scroll through to the homily. You'll not regret it. He speaks so movingly of the monsters of the priesthood and the principle role of the priest. I'll leave you to listen.
God bless you Fr Clarke and may God bless you with many more years of priesthood.
